Betty W Stagg

Betty, 93, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 8, 1930, to Lyman and Eleanor Webb. Betty married Robert (Bob) Stagg at his home in Salt Lake City, on March 8, 1986, in his beautiful garden, with Millcreek River as a backdrop. Betty and Bob found each other later in their life and their connection was instantaneous. With their blended families, Betty and Bob had 11 children. Betty was blessed with 32 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Betty graduated from Granite High School. She married Roy in 1948. Betty was a stay-at-home mother until her children all attended school. After which she went to work for Safeway, Inc., where she became a Front-end Manager. She loved her work, visiting and assisting customers, whom she thoroughly enjoyed. She worked for Safeway for 26 years. Betty loved playing baseball with her family and the family of her life-long friend, LeNae. She also loved camping, fishing, and cooking for family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Betty and Bob were fortunate to retire early so they could enjoy leisurely activities like boating, camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Betty is survived by two of her children, Susan Varner (Bill) and Becky Dollarhide. Bob’s children, Jerryl Holtkamp (Mike), Rob, Ron, Jan Keefe (Terry), Patti Belnap (Troy), and Doug Stagg (Pam). Preceded in death by LeRoy Pedersen (husband), Lyman Webb (Father), Eleanor Webb (mother), Berry Pedersen (grandson), Anne Marie Ringel (granddaughter), Debra Ringel (daughter), Robert Stagg (husband), Jim Webb (brother) Steven Pedersen (son), Bill Webb (brother), Sandra Madsen (daughter). A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1305 North 100 East, American Fork, UT 84003. Graveside service at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062, North West lot. A luncheon will be held at the church for family members following services. The family would like to thank Utah Home Health & Hospice for all the love and respect they showed Betty.
