Chrisopher James "Chris" Roskelley

Christopher James Roskelley, loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend passed away September 9, 2014 in Ogden, Utah. He was born December 31, 1975 in Ogden, Utah to parents Ron (Jean) Roskelley and Kevi (Jeff) Hansen Painter. He was the oldest brother to his siblings Josh and Mandee Roskelley. He was very close to his brother and sister and was always their biggest supporter and protector. Chris grew up in Roy, Utah. He played football and graduated with honors from Roy High School in 1994. He loved all sports but football was his main passion. He was a huge Niner’s fan and also loved the Utah Jazz. He attended Weber State University on an academic scholarship and shortly thereafter joined the US Marine Corps. After his release from the Corps, he worked at several local companies including Lifetime Products as a purchasing agent, TechnaGlass, and Convergys. He was a very intelligent person and hard worker. He attended church at the Genesis Project and volunteered there for several projects. He enjoyed going and loved all of the people he met and came to know personally. Chris was a very kind and loving soul and was always there if you ever needed a shoulder to cry on or just to sit and talk. He had a great sense of humor that made his eyes twinkle with a smile. He always had an opinion on virtually every issue you could ever come up with, and was willing to share his views whether you agreed with him or not. Chris is survived by his parents Ron (Jean) Roskelley, Kevi (Jeff) Hansen Painter, and his siblings Joshua (Eugenia) Roskelley, and Mandee Roskelley. He is also survived by his Aunt Jean (Harv) Foulks, Uncle Bill (Laurie) Roskelley, Cousin Angela (Mike Treece) Leedy, as well as many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Chris was preceded in death by grandparents, Leland and Dorothy Roskelley and Nile and Dorothy Hansen. Chris loved all of his grandparents dearly and was deeply saddened by each of their passing. Our family would like to thank all who have been so kind with their words, thoughts, and deeds and we receive great comfort as we continue to see how many lives Chris has touched in this world. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Ogden Dream Center at the Genesis Project. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday , September 17, 2014 at the Genesis Project 270 12th St, Ogden, UT. A viewing for family and friends will be held 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, at the Genesis Project. Burial will follow at the Washington Heights Memorial Park.
