James Lawrence Davis

James (Jim) Lawrence Davis 1958-2018 Jim Davis, 59 Passed away February 4, 2018 in Murray, Utah. He was born May 27, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Verne Davis And LaVon Isakson. He married Kimberlie Bartschi on June 6, 1981. They had two children, Chad and Jeremy. They later divorced. He then married Debbie Rasmussen April 22, 2006, later divorced. Jim worked for Granite School District for 30 years as a painter. Before that he worked for Jordan School District. Jim had a heart of gold and loved helping others. He was his son Jeremy’s hero and best friend. He cherished his only granddaughter Isabella. He loved spoiling her rotten. He spent a lot of time with his brother and best friend Brent and his sons Chad and Jeremy. Jim loved golfing, Watching the Salt Lake Bees play,and the Utah Grizzlies. He also loved camping,and fishing. He was very fond of college football and the NFL his favorite NFL team was Miami Dolphins his second favorite was the Denver Broncos he was very happy when they won the Superbowl. Jim would always get nervous and change the channel his boys Chad and Jeremy and his brother Brent would always laugh at him. He also always enjoyed watching the Olympic games. He also enjoyed Baseball and had the chance to go see the Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies play. He will be missed. A special thanks to Kim Dixon for always supporting Jim and helping while he was sick. Jim is survived by his son Jeremy, granddaughter Bella, brothers Brent (Kathy) Davis, Tom (Misty) Cash, sister Kimberly (Scott) Moll, his father Verne Davis and his best friend Kim Dixon, and her father Farrell Bartschi and his wife Karren and several nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. He will be greatly missed. Proceeded in death by his son Chad James Davis, his mother LaVon Isakson, mother-in-law Bettie Bartschi, and grandparents. Jim’s family would like to thank Intermountain Medical Center and The Cancer Specialists of Utah for their care. Also Serenity Funeral Home (Caleb Cash and Beau Warenski) for their care and support. In lieu of flowers please make a donation for funeral expenses to Jeremy Davis or Kim Dixon or Brent Davis. The service will be held February 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM with a viewing the night before February 8 2018 5-8 PM at 2065 East 4675 South Holladay, Utah 84117. A viewing will also be held from 12-12:45 PM the morning of the service at the same location.
