Jeffrey Allen Olsen

An endearing husband, devoted father, and loving grandpa, Jeffrey Allen Olsen was called home to our Heavenly Father on October 2, 2025. Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Atelaite Maria Langi Olsen, and their children: Jandy Musik (Craig Higley), Christopher David Olsen (Jessica), Joshua Jeffrey Olsen (Crystal), Katey Davis (Adam), Nikola Makoni Langi Olsen, and Keli Herbert Langi Olsen. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Madison (daughter of Jandy and Craig); Jayden, Cid, and Scarlett (children of Chris and Jessica); and Zoey, Hunter, Stetson, Forge, Ezra, Evelyn, Sage, and Knox (children of Katey and Adam). Jeff was born on August 24, 1964, in Julesburg, Colorado, to the late Ronald DeWayne Olsen and Yvonne Allen Olsen. He grew up in a loving home in Plain City, Utah, as the youngest of five children: Jerry (Analee), JoyDean (Larry Brown), Dennis Eugene (DeAnn), and David (Kimberly). Jeff cherished his family and maintained close relationships with his siblings throughout his life. A graduate of Weber High School (Class of 1982), Jeff served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 1983 to 1985. He held various church callings, but his favorite was serving in the Scouting program, where he guided youth on hiking and camping trips through the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. Jeff had a passion for helping others — whether cooking for his ward, neighbors, and family, or using his skills as a mechanic to assist anyone in need. From changing a tire to rebuilding an engine, Jeff was always ready to lend a hand. He dedicated 30 years to the Davis School District as Facilities Coordinator, taking great pride in ensuring schools were clean, safe, and well-maintained. Whether it was late-night snow removal or daily maintenance, Jeff found fulfillment in serving others, never seeking recognition — only knowing he was making a difference. Jeff was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved camping, fishing, swimming, and traveling with his family. Many joyful days were spent cooking, baking, and playing games together — especially evenings in the backyard pool, making s’mores, and enjoying one another’s company. He supported his children in all their adventures and found great joy in being a grandpa. After retiring, Jeff, Atelaite, and their two youngest sons moved to St. George, Utah, where they began checking off items from their family bucket list. From discovering new beaches to creating unforgettable memories, Jeff embraced retirement as a time to add more life to his days and fulfill his purpose on earth. His absence is deeply felt in our home and throughout our family. We are profoundly grateful to have shared our lives with such an amazing man — one who gave freely of his time, love, and energy to all who knew him.
