Judy Fitts Noel

Judy Fitts Noel passed away peacefully Friday March 17,2017 surrounded by her family on both sides of the veil. Judy was born on May 17,1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jack C. Fitts and Geneve Kurland Fitts. She was the 2nd of 5 children. Judy was raised in Salt Lake City. She attended East High school and graduated from the University of Utah, majoring in Elementary Education. Judy met F. Clark Noel Jr. in the summer of 1962 while participating in her favorite activity of dancing. Clark swept her off her feet while stepping on her toes. Although they may not have continued to spend a lot of time on the dance floor, they enjoyed their dance through life together. Clark and Judy were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on May 31,1963. They were blessed with 4 of the most outstanding children, Brian (Ruthanne), Holly Raddatz (Carl), Heather Stout (Cliff), and Brett (Sarah). Their family continued growing with 15 grandchildren, and the first 2 of many more great grandchildren to come. Judy, now known to everybody as Grandma Judy, loved being a grandma as much as her grandchildren loved spending time with her. They loved reading books, having tea parties, playing dress-up, doing puzzles, singing songs, and most of all eating waffles with raspberry jam, and whipped cream. Judy had an unconditional love for all people. She greeted every person with outstretched arms and a hug. Her doors were always open, so much so, that her home became known as the “NOEL MOTEL”. She was loved by everybody who knew her. Judy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. She served faithfully in many capacities and was a true example of the pure love of Christ. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry, and sister Janine. She is survived by her husband Clark, their 4 children, and her two sisters Janet Brownell, and Janiell Vashon. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00am at the South Jordan Utah River Stake Center (River 10th Ward) of The Church of Jesus Christs of Latter-day Saints. 1570 W. 11400 S. South Jordan, Utah. Friends may visit with the family, at the same location, on Thursday, March 23 from 6pm to 8pm and again one hour prior to the funeral services. The family wishes to THANK everybody at Encompass Hospice. Especially Char and Raquelin who were so caring and dedicated in taking care of Judy. Also Thank You to Carrington Court who went above and beyond to ensure that all of our family needs were cared for during Judy’s final moments.
