Karen Louise Varley

Karen Louise Varley, 82, passed away quite suddenly on June 26, 2026 at her home in Provo, Utah. She was born on November 12, 1943, in White Plains, New York. Karen grew up in the suburbs of New York. She loved playing sports, reading and writing, gardening, bird watching, making her own home improvements before it was trendy, Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand and cooking fabulous food among many other things. Most of all, Karen loved everyone! She loved her family. She loved her friends. She loved her neighbors and she loved her fur-babies. And all these fortunate loved beings could only respond by loving her back. She is survived by her children Adrienne (Kyle) Burdette, Jerry Varley, and Noel Gilleo; Her brother Fredrick Tetzlaff (Larry). Her Grandchildren: Chloe (Skyler) Guymon, Harley (Chelsea) Varley, Evelyn (Emily) Burdette, Theo (Sally) Burdette, Blessing Burdette, Benjamin Burdette, William Varley-Vigna, Sophie Burdette; and three beautiful great grandchildren: Haven, Ezra and Parker. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Dawn Elizabeth Varley, her parents Fredrick Tetzlaff and Gloria Maragliotti Lenz, the father of her children: Jerry Varly Sr, and the love of her life Dale Pinegar, and her two precious fur babies Charlie and Jake. Services for Karen will be held at the LDS Eagle Mountain Stake Center on 2977 E Saddle Rock Road in Eagle Mountain, UT on Thursday, June 2, 2026. Viewing will be held from 4:00-5:30 in the Relief Society room, and the funeral will be held at 5:30 in the chapel. Karen has requested to be cremated.
