Linda Jean Herrera, age 47, passed away on May 28, 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on January 1, 1978, in Worland, WY to Cecilia Zavala and Juan Jose Herrera. She married Israel Cancino. They were married in Salt Lake City, UT on March 16, 2015. Linda was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who devoted her life to caring for others before health issues arose. She was not only passionate about her work but also pursued further education in Colorado to enhance her skills and knowledge before moving back to her hometown of Salt Lake City. Despite battling illness, she fought valiantly for her daughters and husband, embodying strength and resilience. In her free time, she found joy in arts and crafts, expressing her creativity through nails, drawing, writing in her journal, and making beautiful jewelry. Her legacy of love and creativity will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Survived by: Loving Husband Israel Cancino, Children; Alexandria (David), Isabella (Erick), and Samantha (Benjamin). Grandchildren; Aaleeyah, Anthony and Alexzander. Parents; Cecilia (Hugo) Zavala. Siblings; Lizzy (Pedro) Romero and Robert (Kristie) Zavala. Preceded in death by: deeply missed Father; Juan Jose Herrera. Brothers; Juan (Flaco) Manuel Herrera and Rueben G Herrera. Grandson; Abel Martinez. Service Information: Viewing and services will be Thursday June 5, 2025 at 6pm - 8pm at the Iglesia VIVA Church located at 1055 N Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. A graveside service will be Friday June 6, 2025 from 2pm - 3pm at the Salt Lake City Cemetery located at 200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84103.
