Mark Anthony Gibson

On April 1st, 2022, our beloved Mark Anthony Gibson returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Los Angeles, CA, on January 14th, 1980 to his mother Linda E. Edwards. In his life, Mark has touched the souls of many people. He was a paragon of unwavering dedication and unconditional love. Soft spoken, with a larger than life frame, he was a consistent sight at all family gatherings and events. Mark was a family man. He never missed a birthday, baptism, or baby shower. He spread joy in those that he loved with his lighthearted humor. Always one to know the perfect movie quote for the moment. Mark was married to his wife, Pamela, on November 17th, 2006 in Salt Lake City. They were eternally sealed in the Jordan River Temple on November 17th, 2020. Mark is survived by his wife, Pamela Gibson-Slivers, and children: Spencer Perry, Tishina Leatutufu, Marcus Perry, and Daija Perry; His siblings: Dameon Edwards, Jerry Gibson, Stevie Reynolds, and Chaddie Boyd; As well as his grandchildren: Nevaeh Perry(Spencer), Jazmyne, Laila, and Anthony Leatutufu(Tishina), Emiliano and Tyla Perry(Marcus), and Zaada Perry-Cortez(Daija). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Linda E. Edwards, and his son, Tyler E. Perry. In regards to fundraising, we would like to express our gratitude, but would like to let it be known that this is not required. Mark had the foresight to have his affairs put in order, and the expenses for his funeral have been covered. If anyone sees a fundraiser online, we ask that you report it and not donate. If anyone would still like to contribute, all we ask for is flowers for the service and burial. Blue flowers if possible, but anything will be greatly appreciated. On behalf of our family, we would like to give our gratitude and sincere love to all of those who have reached out to us. We have been humbled and delighted to know the influence that Mark has left upon the world. The light of the world dims, if only in the slightest.
