Megan Ann Poulsen

On August 15th, 2025, our beloved angel, Megan Ann Poulsen, peacefully returned home to heaven. A radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her, Megan embodied love, strength, and beauty. Megan was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister, treasured aunt, and precious friend. In her final moments, she was surrounded by family, held in an immeasurable outpouring of love. Megan was born on March 21st, 1985, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert Dale Poulsen and Joy Ann Harris Poulsen. She grew up in Bluffdale, Utah and graduated from Riverton High School in 2003. Her love of children inspired Megan to pursue an education in Child Development and Special Education. Above all else, Megan’s greatest joy was being a mother to her daughter, Alexis Ann Crowton. Motherhood was the center of her world, shaping every part of her life and giving her both purpose and strength. She carried an infinite love for animals, holding each of her beloved pets close to her heart; they were a constant source of comfort, laughter, and companionship. Megan was also known for her quick wit and joyful humor. She had an uncanny ability to light up a room, often punctuating moments with perfectly timed movie quotes that left those around her smiling. Her laughter, love, and spirit remain woven into our memories. Megan was a true survivor who spent much of her life bravely battling Chiari Malformation and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She underwent more than forty Chiari-related surgeries with extraordinary strength and determination. Through every challenge, she showed an unbreakable spirit, one rooted in perseverance, grace, and an endless sense of humor. Even in moments of pain, she found ways to laugh and remind those around her of the beauty still present in life. She never gave up, and her courage continues to live on in the hearts of all who loved and knew her. Megan is survived by her daughter, Alexis Ann Crowton; parents, Robert Dale Poulsen and Joy Ann Harris Poulsen; grandmother, Diana Lazenby Poulsen; siblings, Shandell (Hobart) Barbour, Justin (Tori) Poulsen, and Kaylee (Fernando Perez) Poulsen; and nieces and nephews, Leeroy, Dexten, Heidi, Iris, and Kohen. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold Leroy Poulsen, Joyce Irene Barber Poulsen, Richard Kendall Harris, and Patricia Ann Markham Harris. In accordance with her wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of life to remember and honor her beautiful spirit.
