Rosemary Smith Rawlings

Rosemary Smith Rawlings crossed over to the other side at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City Utah on Friday November 8th 2013. She was born June 3rd 1949 in San Diego California to Lucile Neilson and Alvin Morgan Smith. Married Stephan G Jecusco 1971 (divorced), Ronald Rawlings 1993 (Divorced). As a child Rosemary always did well in school and later got a degree and worked in commercial art doing fashion Illustration. Her artistic ability was remarkable. She joined the Church of Latter Day Saints while young and remained a strong and faithful member all of her life. Rosemary worked and supported herself all of her adult life through many different jobs and raised her three children with her income alone. Always a proud and devoted mother, her love for her children came before anything else. She was known for her intelligence, truthfulness, wry sense of humor and strong testimony. No one expected she would leave us so soon. She was sixty four years old and in good health before an aggressive lymphoma developed. In the weeks she had from the diagnosis, her mental strength, courage, faith and sense of humor never slipped. She will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched. Survived by: Rachel C Jecusco, Stefan M Jecusco and Vanessa Veselka, Anthon H Jecusco, Renwood K Jecusco, James C And Betty brown, Stella Lucile Smith, Afton and Nicholas Stincelli, Arla and Enzo Vivona, Carol and Tim Bermudus, Stefan G Jecusco, Ronald Rawlings and Nieces, Nephews and Grandchildren too numerous to name. Preceded in Death by: Baby Boy Jecusco, Lucile Neilson and Alvin M Smith. Sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses who helped Rosemary, to the family friends from far and near who wrote and visited, to all her ward and the many LDS congregations throughout her life who helped support her spiritually and physically. Services will be held Tuesday November 12 at Whittier Ward, 1515 south 200 east. Viewing will start at 9:30 am, the service commences from 11 to 12, then procession to cemetery at 1. There will be a luncheon at Whittier Ward afterwards.
