Sandra Lynn LaRose Sittig

Sandy was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on July 1, 1947. She was the youngest of three sisters. Her parents were Thaddeus Bertrand and Frieda Anna Minnie Bloecher LaRose. She passed away due to a sudden heart attack on Monday, September 12, 2022 at her home in Orem, Utah, surrounded by her family. She grew up with her widowed mother in a loving home in Walworth, Wisconsin. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 30, 1966. She was married to Hugh Walter Sittig on December 17, 1966, and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS temple on October 16, 1968. She was an accomplished cook and enjoyed re-creating and improving on her favorite restaurant dishes, as well as creating her own original recipes that her family will continue to cherish. She enjoyed traveling in her motorhome with her family, and visited 45 of the 50 states with them, playing board games all along the way. Some of her favorite destinations included Wisconsin to visit family and friends, and Disneyland. She was surrounded by beloved pets throughout her life, and passed her love of animals to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed serving her family, and serving the church in various callings in every ward she was a member of. She felt her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother, not just to her own children, but to anyone else she felt needed love, no matter their age. It brought her great joy to support her family in all of their interests. She went to almost every activity that her children were involved in, including dance performances and competitions, band and orchestra concerts, plays, etc., even if it meant she had to endure a sporting event just to see her daughters cheerleading. She continued doing this right up to the end of her life. She is survived by her husband Hugh; her children Jennifer Lynn Sittig, Audrey Kathryn Smith (Dave), Rachel Leah Taylor (Josh), and Hugh Jared Sittig; her two grandchildren, Cordelia LaRose and Grayson Thaddeus Taylor; and her sister Delores Ruth Schiefelbein (Ted). She was preceded in death by her parents Thaddeus and Frieda LaRose, her sister Carol Ann McFarlin, and her grandson Joshua Malachi Taylor.
