Sisi Kaumalu Leha'uli

Our sweet and beautiful Lovely Sisi Kaumalu, passed peacefully from her loving home in West Valley City, Utah on 6:00 AM January 9, 2024, at 81 years of age. She was surrounded with the warmth and love of family in the last moments of her life. On October 31, 1942, Sisi Kaumalu was born in Lapaha, Tonga to her father Latu Lemoto Sefopalu and mother Amelia Mafi Kautai. She was also the oldest sister to Katalina Tupou Motulalo and adopted younger brother Soakimi Halaapiapi. In 1983, she emigrated to Utah along with her children and loving parents. She worked to provide and raise her family and five children: Petulisa, Taikosama, Sefopalu, Peiloni, and Star Jr. To date, Sisi Kaumalu was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; all whom she was grateful to have met. Sisi Kaumalu lived her life to the fullest, a natural in making friends, and knew how to make everyone smile. Known to have a big heart, always kept God with her in every way, and prayed for everyone. During her lifetime, Sisi Kaumalu enjoyed roller skating, crocheting, cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, teaching her grandchildren to pray, and helping the church community. Those left to cherish her memory include her younger Sister Katalina Tupou Motulalo, residing in Lapaha, Tonga; younger brother Soakimi Halaapiapi, residing in New Zealand; all five of Sisi Kaumalu’s children residing in Utah: first daughter, Petulisa Kokohu; first son, Taikosama Lehauli; second son, Sefopalu Lehauli; second daughter, Thesaly Lehauli (unfortunately had passed while an infant); third son, Peiloni Lehauli; fourth son, Star Lehauli; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and relatives expanding from across the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Tonga.
